What a day...

I am 38 weeks and had my 2nd amnio today. The baby's lung maturity score has not changed since last week! It made me a little nervous, but for some reason I expected it. They have 3 plans for me...Plan A is to deliver by c-section in a week on Monday, BUT they realized I need a growth ultrasound this Thursday because she is in the 8th percentile for growth rate, Plan B is if she has not had sufficient growth by Thursday they will deliver her on Thursday after my ultrasound in an emergency c-section. Plan C is if I happen to have my water break, have contractions or anything out of the ordinary I come in immediately for an emergency c-section. Considering there are so many options and several have the word "emergency" attached to them, I'm a little nervous! So, God is just in control of all this obviously and I'm trying to be ok with that because he is the one who gave us this baby so it's up to him how and what happens! So, if you think about it, pray for us! We are stressed a little! :( I've talked about this all day, so i'm done....

Today Phil Fulmer publically gave his resignation. Kev and I watched because if you are from around here it's SLIGHTLY a big deal! I think it's best for the team and sometimes people just run their course and need to move on, the UT people seemed to handle it very respectfully and delicately and all parties would like to see Fulmer stay at UT in a different capacity than head coach. I'm sure it was a difficult situation because of the long history. Fulmer handled it with class, UT spokesboy handled it with class and THEN they had some of the players give their thoughts and answer questions. The two that got up there slammed UT by saying UT turned their back on their family (Fulmer) by shoving him out, then they slammed the fans by saying the real people that matter (being the football team and coaches) are the ones on the their side of the fence, not the fans and really in my opinion made TN and their coach (to whom they are pledging their allegience to) look really bad. If the players are a reflection of the leadership of Fulmer they represented him very poorly, they did not handle it with class at all. It was disappointing, it was also disappointing that they have so little respect for the people that love and support them which is more than just their head coach...UT fans are some of the most loyal through everything and the attitude expressed was so disappointing!

Tonight we had dinner at some new friends home. It was nice. One thing about church planting is that making friends is not the easiest. Most people assume you are "out to get them" for the church or they think if they aren't interested in the church that you can't hang out anymore or something negative. We feel we have to disclaimer with ANYBODY we ask to do stuff that we are OK if they aren't interested in the church and we are OK if they decide not to come and we are NOT out to get them...so sad. It's really sad that people take ONE thing about you and make that WHO YOU ARE as a whole, the REALLY sad part is they wouldn't freak out if you just said you were a Christian, they only freak out when they hear your job is church affiliated, how did "the church" get such a bad name? Probably around the same time church became more of an event and place rather than a body of people!
