ARRRRRR you still defrosting from running in 29 degree weather?

Bless our friends, family and the many people who don't even know us but ran in frigid weather to support our adoption. And I mean FRIGID! When the race started it was 29 degrees and when we finished it was a whopping 32 degrees.

An awesome 123 people registered to run this morning in the Pirate Dash 5K! Lifelong friends from past churches, friends of friends, brand new friends who have already adopted from Bulgaria, lots of our New River Church friends and students, our family, and people from the community who all ran for a good cause.

A couple of people we have never met and who were unable to attend the race have emailed to encourage us in our journey. They are now following our blog. I am truly amazed at how many people have rallied around us!

Clover AFJROTC helped us coordinate the race setup and guided our runners through the course. Focus Physical Therapy opened their doors bright and early to stretch out runners who wanted it. Special thanks to Katlind Knoll for all her support and hard work! Double B Graphix and Elyse created some amazing T-shirts for the event. Walmart of Lake Wylie provided free bottles of water for the runners.

AIM Mail Center for all the printing assistance! Many other supporters helped make this race a truly awesome experience. Thanks to everyone who offered a hand to make the race happen... The Pirate Dash was successful because of you!

Right now we are wrapping up our dossier and applying for grants... We can finally do that now that our FBI background checks have returned. In just a few weeks, our dossier will be in the mail and out of our hands. Please keep praying for us and the kid God is preparing for us!

Here are lots of pics from the race... Enjoy!
